The Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is located in La Paz, Bogo City, Cebu. The shrine is situated on top of a hill and one must climb more than a hundred steps of its stairway to reach the giant statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Established as a parish on May 31, 1850, Bogo’s patron was San Vicente Ferrer. Its old church, located near the town plaza, was described as having walls of tabique pampango, posts of wood, and a roof of thatch cogon. The current church of Bogo was built in the post-war era. Bogo City celebrates its annual town fiesta every fourth Sunday of May in honor of its patron saint San Vicente Ferrer.
A 30 minutes away by outrigger boat from Bogo City is the Islet of Capitancillo. It is one of the best dive spots in Bogo City. Just like Mactan, Cebu

Capital Basillo, skipper of a trading vessel during the early years of Spanish rule,committed a grievance against Bugtopasan, one of the early Chieftain of Mactan around a kinsman of Lapu-lapu, and left surreptitiously Mactan. In a fit of anger, Bugtopasan mounted his enchanted white horse and rode out over the waves in pursuit of Captain Basillo’s vessel and flung a curse andspell on Captain Basillo followed by a crashing sound of thunder and bolts of lightning transforming what is now known as the islet of Capitancillo, named after the unfortunate Captain Basillo.
Today, local government of the City of Bogo ensures the protection and preservation of the Islet and its surroundings making it a protected site. Capitancillo is considered one of Cebu’s major dive site. Nearby resorts frequently bring their guests to the islet.

June 12, 2010 - Toledo City, Cebu once again celebrated it's annual city fiesta, and had it's 3rd year Hinulawan Festival . Hinulawan comes from the word “Hinaguang Bulawan.” Historically Hinulawan was the original settlement located in Daanglungsod of the early Toledanos.
